Continuous Crystallization Using Ultrasound Assisted Nucleation, Cubic Cooling Profiles and Oscillatory Flow

Continuous tubular crystallizers have the potential to reduce manufacturing costs and increase product quality. However, designing is a complex challenging task as crystallization complex, multiphase process with propensity for fouling clogging. While several designs been proposed overcome these issues, are either unproven or poorly scalable complex. In this work continuous crystallizer designed evaluated mitigate issues. The combines novel method obtain cubic cooling profile control supersaturation, ultrasound induce nucleation oscillatory flow improve mixing minimize sedimentation. results show that was able operate more than 4 h without clogging, high yields narrow particle size distribution. design here therefore considered viable approach crystallizers.
